What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is a collagen biostimulator made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a safe and biocompatible substance that encourages your skin to rebuild its own collagen network. What Is a Treatment Session Like?

Step 2: Preparing for injection. After the skin is cleansed, a numbing cream is applied for comfort. Sculptra is then injected in small, carefully placed amounts to stimulate collagen evenly throughout the treated areas.

Step 3: Massage and home care. Immediately after treatment, the areas are gently massaged to ensure even distribution. Patients follow the “2-2-2 rule” at home by massaging for two minutes, two times per day, for two weeks to help the product settle smoothly.

Does Sculptra Have a Recovery Period?

Sculptra requires little to no downtime. Mild redness, bruising, swelling, or tenderness at the injection sites may occur and typically resolve within a few days. Most patients are able to return to their normal daily activities right away, though avoiding strenuous exercise or excessive heat for the first day is often recommended. To ensure the best results, follow Dr. Aivaz’s aftercare instructions, which may include gently massaging the treated areas as directed to support even product distribution.
